Wight Elephant Boutique sets grand opening date for Greensburg storefront

Greensburg’s newest shop, Wight Elephant Boutique has set their grand opening for Thursday, October 17 after months of renovation.

The grand opening of their new store at 136 South Pennsylvania Avenue, will feature an evening of shopping and celebration Thursday, October 17th from 4-7 pm. They will be open throughout the weekend from 10:00-5:00pm on Friday and 9:00-3:00pm on Saturday. Their hours from then on will be the same as their Irwin store, Tuesday & Wednesday 10:00-5:00pm, Thursday 10:00-7:00pm, Friday 10:00-5:00pm and Saturday 9:00-3:00pm.

“We’re really excited to be open and be the first tenant in this beautiful building,” said Victoria Piekut, President & Founder of the Wight Elephant Boutique. “To go from an online only boutique out of our basement to our first store front in Irwin to a second here in Greensburg is something we’re thrilled about. We’re eager to have our first customers in our new space and for everyone to enjoy it with us.”

Wight Elephant is a fun, trendy, and unique clothing boutique that is full of fashion and color. They offer ‘standout style for the standout girl’, no matter her age! They started out as an online boutique in October of 2016 and through pop up shops at local events and at national pageants, the family owned business opened their flagship store in July of 2018 in downtown Irwin.

“Wight Elephant Boutique is the perfect shop to open in our S PA Ave storefront,” said Suzanne Ward, co-owner of City Cribs LLC. “Renovating the building has been an incredible transformation to be apart of, watching piece by piece come alive again has been an experience hard to describe in words. We’re so excited that they’re opening, their space is beautiful and we can’t wait for everyone to walk in and see it.”

The new S. PA Ave boutique will be a larger store front than their Irwin location but will accommodate everything they need including an in-house photo studio and a place to process and ship all of their worldwide online orders.

“It’s so exciting to have a new boutique in Greensburg, they’ll be a great addition to S. PA Ave,” said Jessica Hickey, Director of the Downtown Greensburg Project. “We’ve been shopping at Wight Elephant since they opened their Irwin location and we can’t wait for the community to experience their store. ”

Wight Elephant is the first of 3 businesses opening at 136 S. PA Ave. The Downtown Greensburg Project is slated to open their office in November and The Trendy Bunny will be in the lower level facing McKeon Way, though there is no open date for that yet.
