Rotary of Westmoreland Annual Coat Drive. There are 100’s of local children in need of coats, hats, scarves, gloves, and mittens. Please donate now before it gets too cold! We just ask that the coats are gently used, freshly washed, and free of rips and stains. Please visit here for the list of drop off locations.

Readings of Winning Entries in LVW Flash Fiction Contest
Readings of Winning entries to the Ligonier Valley Writers flash fiction contest will be presented at Craftique Collections on East Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. These short stories are Halloween themed.

FitnessEnvi invites you to its annual Halloween Costume Party from 6:30 pm – 8 pm! This is a costume contest built around the pole dance moves they teach you. No experience is required! Bring treats or BYOB (for 21 and older). This event costs $25 at the door, but only $20 in advance.

Join the Hempfield Township, Borough of south Greensburg, Borough of southwest Greensburg and the City of Greensburg fire departments for this education event! There will be large equipment displays and live demonstrations to help prevent fires, all starting at 6:30 pm.

Join the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra for our 50th Season Anniversary Opening Night! Artistic Director Daniel Meyer welcomes 15-year old piano virtuoso Maxim Lando to perform Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor. The concert also includes Sibelius’ Finlandia, Symphony No. 7 and Pärt’s Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten. Student Rush $5 tickets available one hour prior to the concert with valid i.d.

Meditation basics is a 6 week course designed to teach a beginner the fundamentals of meditation at Satya Yoga. In this 6 week course we will practice and discuss various meditation techniques. Each class will start with a brief series of movements to stretch out the body and enable the student to sit or rest comfortably for the meditation practice. We will practice Progressive Relaxation, Metta Meditation (Loving Kindness), Mindfulness, Breath Awareness, Zen Meditation, and Yoga Nidra as part of the 6 weeks.

Yoga Class at Petagogy Greensburg
There will be a 60-minute, beginner-friendly yoga class starting at 9 am taught by Jennifer Goebel of JG Yoga and Wellness! The class only costs $10 and all proceeds go to the Humane Society of Westmoreland County!
Celebrate art and nature during The Westmoreland’s signature event and party of the year! Everyone is encouraged to show support by wearing green or entering to win the best “repurposed or recycled” party outfit contest. Cost is $125 for members and $150 for non-members; proceeds support The Westmoreland’s exhibition and education programs!
