Accepted Events: community events, one time events/classes/programs, special events and charity events. Please refrain from adding continuous events or weekly classes. Same events with multiple days may not be posted every day due to the amount of other events. We’d like to give everyone an opportunity for people to see their events.
I can’t do yoga, I’m “not flexible”, “overweight”, “not strong”, “too tall”, “out of shape”, “not athletic”, “too old”? Maybe you have wanted to try yoga and been concerned that you aren’t physically built right to do yoga? If you have said something similar or thought you can’t do yoga, now is your chance!
So throw your hands up and let go of fear of fitting into a standard yoga class this Fall. In this class you won’t have to be embarrassed because you don’t know what you are doing,or you don’t have fancy yoga clothes. or you feel too old/young, flexible/inflexible, overweight/ in shape, athletic/ not coordinated. Stop trying to hide yourself in the back of a typical yoga class because this class is about being able to express yourself, ask questions and be free to move up front!
Join us on a 6 week journey to empowering yourself, learning new things, taking a step toward wellness, and just feeling better! We will explore yoga postures (asana), breathing (pranayama), and practice relaxation exercises. This class encourages you to bring a journal or notebook so you can reflect on your own personal journey as you learn various modifications to the yoga asana that will make you feel comfortable in your own skin and enable you to move forward into a standard yoga class at any studio with confidence.
