Monday, October 2

Drawing Dynamics with Joe Schildkamp

This six-week class at the Greensburg Art Center starts with an introduction and review of basic drawing approaches. Students will work with various marking techniques that imply pattern/texture and value contrasts to suggest form/space. Linear perspective methods are also presented for consideration. Students are asked to bring a pencil and sketchpad to the first class starting at 4 p.m. Other materials will be discussed. Learn more.

Pastel Class with Cindy Berceli 

A six-week class at the Greensburg Art Center exploring soft pastels! This spirited class offers many gems of information on technique and application of pastels. Students will also experiment with different surfaces while working from still life and/or photos. Cost is $65 and you can register online or by calling 724-837-6791. Learn more.

Paris Museum Tours with Maureen Kochanek

Munchkins, Music & Me!

This music-based class at The Trendy Bunny Studio is perfect for kids ages 6 months to 4 years old. Music can strengthen the bond between a parent and/or caregiver. It also helps children recognize sounds and rhythm in words which helps improve literacy skills and auditory memory. Class runs in 4-week increments and costs $20 a week or $50 per month. Must register in advance. Class times are Mondays at 10 a.m. and 5:15 p.m., and Wednesdays at 11:15 a.m. Learn more.

LOSS Support Group

Independent Study in Clay with Johanna Sheppard

This class is designed for individuals with past experience working with clay and can work independently (Please do not register if you have no prior experience). Monitors are present to provide assistance and guidance in the clay studio including tools and glazes. Attendees will choose eight of the 10 sessions offered. This 5-week class at the Greensburg Art Center examines composition, portraiture, landscape and still life in the medium of your choice.
