Monday, November 7

IV Year Anniversary Celebration

Annual Wreath Ceremony at Pitt-Greensburg

Pitt-Greensburg MVS invites members of the community to visit campus for the 5th Annual Wreath Ceremony starting at 10:30 a.m. A wreath is posted by our UPG ROTC Cadets at our flagpole in recognition of the service of military, veterans, and their families (past and present). The wreath also stands alongside 300+ American Flags that line our campus walkways…each flag honors a fallen PA servicemember lost since 9/11. Learn more.

Practice Makes Perfect Full Moon Sound Bath

The Space is so excited to be teaming up with Practice Makes Perfect Studio for a Sound Bath starting at 7 p.m. Join Gabby as she uses her crystal bowls, Native American flute, Tibetan steel bowls, tuning forks and voice (sometimes drums and bells/wind chimes too). Join in comfortable clothing and bring a mat if you have one. Preregistration is strongly encouraged as these fill quickly and to keep the experience cozy this will be capped at 12. Learn more.

Trivia Night at Sports & Social Steel City!

Pastel Class with Cindy Berceli

Be prepared to get a little dusty and have a lot of fun while learning about this exciting medium! Bring whatever you have, sharpener, kneaded eraser, wet wipes, paper towels. Drum Circle led by Matt Mikeska @ Green Beacon Gallery

A drum circle is a gathering of people playing percussion instruments as a group. Drum circles are generally unrehearsed and participants often play instruments with their hands rather than mallets or drumsticks. Bringing drums is encouraged but not required. Jazz Concert Series: The Tom Wendt Quartet

Jazz Nights return this fall each month on select Wednesdays at The Westmoreland! Pitt-Greensburg MVS invites the community to join them for a very special film screening of Bastard’s Road. The story of USMC Veteran Jonathan Hancock’s journey of healing. From the Battle of Ramadi, to the shores of home….to the gates of Camp Pendleton where his life as a marine began. Jon will graciously be joining following the film for a Q&A session. Teacher Workshop: John Kane & Pittsburgh

Area educators are welcome to join  an in depth look at the exhibition Gatecrashers: The Rise of the Self-Taught Artist in America and, in particular, John Kane’s perspective of a changing Pittsburgh landscape.
