Used Book Sale

The annual used book sale at Greensburg Hempfield Area Library is back and better than ever! With more than 5k books, this fundraiser for the library includes more genres and a wide variety of formats. Takes place May 9 through May 12 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and may 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m ($5 per bag day). Learn more.

May’s Rising Tide Meeting

Local High School Student Art Exhibition

Come take in the wondrous sights created by 15 high school student artists from the Greensburg region at Green Beacon! The weekend exhibit is on display from Friday, May 13 at noon until Sunday, May 14 at 6 p.m. The official reception opens the show on Saturday, May 14 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m with virgin cocktails and light refreshments. Pet Nail Trims at Petagogy Greensburg 

Sophia from Doolittle’s Pet Services will be at Petagogy Greensburg from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. doing pet nail trims for $10 each (cash only). Dogs and cats are welcome! $5 from every trim will be donated to the Top Dog Therapy Team. No appointment necessary; first come, first served. Learn more.

Green Beacon Trivia Night!

The first one went so well, they’re doing it again! Join host Zach Wurm on a journey into the knowledgecore of your brain. Teams will consist of 1-3 members going head-to-head. The team with the most points at the end will win fabulous prizes. This month’s topics include: Green Beacon Gallery artwork, cinema, 90’s music, literature and history. Players are asked to arrive a few minutes early to get situated with introductions beginning at 8:35 p.m. Open to all ages; BYOB for those 21+.
