Wednesday, March 23

Martin Barre Performs Classic Jethro Tull

Martin is celebrating the history of Jethro Tull and will be bringing a spectacular show with his touring band at The Palace Theatre. Curator Talk and Mingle

In celebration of Chief Curator Barbara Jones’ 26+ years at The Westmoreland, hear from her as she shares some of her favorite memories and highlights. Ceramic Dragon Paint Night @ Green Beacon Gallery

The first ever ceramic paint night at the gallery! They have teamed up with the Crafty Shack to bring you a special evening for all ages and skill levels. Art supplies, a smock and helpful guidance will be provided. Please arrive a few minutes early prior to starting at 7:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $25 per dragon or admission at the door is $30. Open Stage @ Green Beacon Gallery

It’s open mic night at the gallery! Stop by to check out all of the local talent eager to perform. Performances will proceed in 30 minute slots starting at 7 p.m. Simply sign up on the sheet posted in front of the stage at 6:45 p.m. A basic stage backline of guitar/bass amps & cabs and basic drum kit will be available for use. Musicians bringing extra gear must use their stage time to set up and tear down. All ages welcome. BYOB for ages 21+. Learn more.

A hilarious and heartfelt tale based on the best-selling book series at The Palace Theatre starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance (plus fees) or $12 at the door (no fees). Learn more.

Opening reception for “Adrift”, a collaborative exhibition by Marti Haykin and Marc Snyder

StopWatch Gallery & Studio is delighted to announce the opening of “Adrift.” There will be a “meet the artists” opening reception from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. It will feature individual and collaborative works in sculpture and printmaking. Learn more.

Raise a fork for a good cause with the Greensburg Church of the Brethren from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Spaghetti, salad, garlic bread and beverage for $8 a person. Eat in or take out. All proceeds go to feeding the hungry. Learn more.

Nuevo Tango at The Palace Theatre

The dazzling violinist Chee-Yun returns to play Astor Piazzolla’s “The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires” in a Spanish-inspired evening. Juan Arriaga’a stunning “Symphony in D Major” and Joaquin Turina’s “The Bullfighter’s Prayer” will also be featured. Peter Noon & Herman’s Hermits & The Buckinghams

At the age of 15, Peter Noon achieved international fame as “Herman,” lead singer of the legendary band Herman’s Hermits. They are universally regarded as one of rock & roll’s finest and most versatile entertainers.
