Monday, August 21

Munchkins, Music and Me!

This class offered by Practice Makes Perfect Music Studio at The Trendy Bunny studio is focused on getting kids ages six months to four years old exposed to music. This class runs in four week increments and costs $20 a week for drop-ins or $50 per month. Tuesday, August 22

Yoga at St. Clair Park

Join Red Brick Yoga once again for outdoor yoga this summer. Classes start at 6:30 p.m. and cost $100 for unlimited park yoga or $15 per class. Learn more.

Tuesday Bike Night – Latrobe H.O.G. Night

Tuesday Trivia

Joss Stone – 20 Years of Soul at The Palace Theatre

Joss Stone is a Grammy and Brit award-winning artist who released her star-making critically acclaimed debut album, The Soul Sessions, in 2003, aged just 16. Since then, she has released nine studio albums which have sold over 15 million copies worldwide. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. This event is open to all ages. Drum Circle Night @ Green Beacon Gallery

Rather than being defined and rigid, drum circles are a flowing expression of freedom and creativity. Everyone in a drum circle is equal and there are no “specific” parts that each person must play. Bringing percussion instruments is encouraged but not required. All ages and skill levels welcome; BYOB for drummers 21+; and starts at 7 p.m. Attendance is free, though gallery donations are greatly appreciated. Learn more.

Yoga + Myofacial Release at Red Brick Yoga

This fun, informative style yoga class will focus on the common imbalances of the shoulders and hips. Release tension using tennis balls, yoga blocks and yoga postures. End the session with a guided relaxation. Purchase tickets here. Learn more.

Dancing Dream / ABBA TRIBUTE
Sweden’s greatest export of the 20th century was ABBA, one of the world’s most popular and successful musical groups. ABBA was a regular at the top of the music charts from 1974 to 1982. Even now it would be difficult to find someone who doesn’t recognize their songs. See the group perform at St. Clair Park starting at 7 p.m. Learn more.

GREENSBURG MUSIC FEST

Returning for its 5th year and presented by Westmoreland Cultural Trust, downtown Greensburg is transformed into a FREE outdoor festival highlighting local music, art, organizations, and food, with a free show inside The Palace Theatre in the evening.There will be an after party in The Palace Theatre’s Courtyard starting at 9:30 p.m. ($5 cover). Mini Musicians with Practice Makes Perfect at Green Beacon Gallery

Mini Musicians is a course specially designed for children between the ages of 4 and 8 who show an early interest in learning an instrument. The class teaches the musical alphabet, basic note reading and basic rhythms to better prepare them for individual lessons. Students will also have hands-on experience with the piano, string, brass, woodwind and percussion instruments. Class starts at 2 p.m. and costs $20. Learn more.
