History is made of stories – and what better way to introduce young children to the past than through picture books! Children, accompanied by an adult, are invited to an educational read-aloud session followed by a hands-on activity. Children may have heard the Star-Spangled Banner song, but do they know the story of the flag and the seamstresses who created it? “Long May She Wave: The True Story of Caroline Pickersgill and Her Star-Spangled Creation” by Kristen Fulton explores this fascinating history. This read-aloud is just in time for the anniversary of the Battle of Fort McHenry.

The official home brew competition & beer tasting of Greensburg Craft Beer Week! You won’t want to miss the chance to sample these great beers — and possibly discover the area’s next brewer. This a ticketed event where guests will be able to taste and vote for their favorite home brews entered into the competition. Enjoy live music, food trucks and the photo booth then grab some GBGCBW swag at the merch tent! 30 Home Brewers will be present, attendees will be able to taste over 60 beers! Purchase tickets here.
This is going to be the second annual benefit to support local veterans. There will be 8 guns given away and a open class Jiu-Jitsu competition with prizes. LADYS this year you will also have your own bracket. There will be food ,beer and entertainment provided. All ages welcome this is a way to raise some money for a good cause and bring everyone together for a fun day.

Wednesday Night Lecture Series
Wellness on The Point invites you to attend another gathering for our Wednesday Night Lecture Series as we host ‘All About Thermography ‘ LLC, as Barbara Calcagni guides us as we learn about Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging, and how it can be used for detecting a number of diseases and physical injuries, by showing the thermal abnormalities in the body. Thermal Breast screening is the only available test for women that finds issues before turning into disease. Also joining us is Lori Ball from the wonderful non-profit organization ‘Faith & Gratitude.’

Made in Westmoreland: Jamison Farm
Made in Westmoreland program features the farm of John and Sukey Jamison, who will share stories of raising nationally-recognized lamb since 1976. Located on 210 picturesque acres in Latrobe, Jamison Farm annually raises 3,000 lambs on natural diets and in a free-range environment. Their talk corresponds with the recent publication of a cookbook, Coyotes in the Pasture and Wolves at the Door, which includes delicious recipes and exciting stories of the farm. The program will be held at the Westmoreland History Education Center at Historic Hanna’s Town. Copies of the Jamisons’ book will be available for purchase at the Westmoreland History Shop.

You don’t have to visit the Atlantic Ocean to disappear under mysterious circumstances AGAIN! Our first Brewmuda Bus Tour was such a blast, we are doing it again! So jump on the Brewmuda Bus and let it take you where it may. We at Helltown (Export Taproom) form one part of the Triangle, the other two parts being Devout Brewing & Yellow Bridge Brewing. Here’s the deal: Helltown opens our doors for breakfast and Bloody Mary’s at 10am. The bus will start out at Helltown and make its way to Yellow Bridge and Devout – the bus leaves Helltown at noon and constantly rotates to Yellow Bridge then Devout and back to Helltown in that order until 8pm! This will be an official Greensburg Craft Beer Week event!
