Volunteer Orientation October 28-29

Come to our Volunteer Orientation to learn how to be a side walker and/or leader for our therapeutic riding lessons from 6-8pm! No prior horse experience is necessary! Lesson volunteers must be at least 15 years old. If horses are not someone’s thing, we are also looking for volunteers to help out with different task!

Haunted Cellar 

Starting at 6pm on both Monday 28 and Tuesday 29! Come take a walk through our Haunted Cellar in the lower level of the library! Enter through our 3rd Street Door…if you dare! NOTE: Strobe lights may be used!

CityReach Truck or Treat

Join the Reach Kids Ministry Team on Monday night for a tailgate-style trick or treating event in the parking lot of the Greensburg Garden & Civic Center beginning at 6:30! We will have a number of families bring their cars decorated for Halloween and full of candy to pass out to all the kids trick or treating from car to car. Don’t worry about dinner either! We will be providing dinner, and plenty of treats for everyone.

Area’s Local Farmers Market Returns to Downtown Greensburg 

The Farmers’ Market in Downtown Greensburg begins at 2:30 and ends at 6pm S. Pennsylvania Ave Next to DV8

3-5 Year Old Story Hour

Starting at 10am! Come for fun with stories, crafts, and more at the Greensburg Hempfield Area Library!

LaBlast Fitness – A Workout in Disguise! 

Starting at 6pm! LaBlast is an interval-cardio based workout centered around all of the popular ballroom dances that you see on Dancing with the Stars. Dancing has been proven to strengthen both the body AND the mind. You can increase your stamina, build muscle strength, and release the mental stress of the day.

Kids Create

Come make Color Diffusing Paper crafts, build, explore art, and more! During every session, we will have a main activity as well as some optional things to do. Enjoy meeting new friends and snacks as we create starting at 6pm at the Greensburg Hempfield Area Library!

Spookyasana 

Join Kayla for Spookyasana beginning at 6:45pm! – lights out yoga with glow sticks, and some adult treats afterwards! Please pre-register to guarantee your spot. Regular class pass applies!

Story Time for Two 

This story time is the perfect one-on-one time for parent and child. Come and enjoy this time of fun and education with your toddler each week. This program is for children age 2 and starts at 10:00am!

Lighted Canvas Class

Beginning at 7pm! You will paint your own canvas just like our other classes, but then there is 1 more step and that is adding little lights to your canvas! It will then light up whenever you want! These are so cool and special to have around the holidays!

Halloween Can Release Party

Levity Brewing Co and the owners/brewers of Tapped Brick Oven & Pour House will be joining together in celebration of their friendship and will be releasing both Tenured and Plum Porter in cans! Party begins at 6pm!

2 Night Halloween Blowout Party 

Toads is Going Big this Halloween! 2 Nights (Thursday 10/31 & Friday 11/1) beginning at 4pm both nights! Dress up Both nights~Horror Film showing, Divine Tragedy (11/1) & of coarse great drinks. Costume contest held November 1st, with cash prizes.

Greensburg Annual Halloween Parade

The City of Greensburg, Recreation Department is having their Annual Halloween Parade on October 31st at Lynch Field! Lineup will begin at 5:15pm at the Aerobic Center parking lot. The Parade will start promptly at 5:30pm and will be led by the Greensburg Salem High School Marching Band! The Parade route is once around the main walking track at Lynch Field. Bagged treats will be distributed to all children in costume at the end of the Parade. Trick-or-Treat for the City of Greensburg residents will immediately follow the Parade from 6 to 8pm!! 

Torte Release & Halloween Party 

Join Platform Beer Co. and Hugo’s Taproom for a special tapping of Chocolate Almond Torte Sweet Stout and Holiday Donut Cookie Snickerdoodle Ale! Mini tortes will be available for pairing (first 50 guests). Halloween costumes encouraged- there will be prizes!

The Rocky Horror Show 

This year starting at 10pm on Thursday October 31 and 8pm on November 1! Stage Right’s legendary Rocky Horror Show celebrates the 50th anniversary of Woodstock with the grooviest Rocky ever! The show is guaranteed to make you relive the 60s even if you weren’t born yet. Come get your freak on at the greatest Halloween Party in the world!

Classical Encounters 

Beginning at 11:00 am! Enhance your listening skills with this music appreciation four-part mini-course that explores four basic periods of music – Baroque, Classical, Romantic and 20th century taught by Morrie Brand. Cost is $35 per student.

Baby Lap Sit 

Starting at 10am! An interactive program of rhymes, finger plays, and stories for your baby & you! This program is for babies ages 5 months to 2 years!

Saturday, November 2

We’re Having a Party

Join Canine Confections in celebrating Magnum’s 1st Birthday and Stella’s 5th Adoption Day on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 11 am to 3 pm. Every doggie that stops in that day will receive doggie cake, doggie ice cream and a special doggie treat.

Sawyer at Scooby’s 

Sawyer plays Rush in the original keys with an emphasis on the early catalog. Radio hits and deep-cut epics from Analog Kid to Xanadu!

Community Day: Fall Spooktacular 

The Westmoreland celebrates fall beginning at 11am! Wear your Halloween costume if you like and take part in the costume contest. Plus, plan to have lots of fall fun with pumpkin carving, spooky stories, face painting, hot apple cider, art making activities and more!
