Tangled Faculties – WCT’s Tiny Gallery Exhibit 

The show centers around love, beauty, aging, and Alzheimer’s. The gallery will feature photographs and words from Haykin’s mother, Georgeann, beautifully documenting her struggles with dementia. The exhibit coincides with November’s designation as National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. “Tangled Faculties” can be viewed at WCT’s Tiny Gallery between the hours of 9 AM – 5 PM Monday through Friday! This event is open and free to the public! 

Tuesday, November 12

Harlem Wizards Vs. The Golden Lion All-Star

The world-famous Harlem Wizards will visit Greensburg Salem High School’s gym on Tuesday, November 12th at 7:00 p.m. for an evening of great fun and fundraising. The Wizards will play a game against a team of Greensburg Salem administrators, teachers and high school students who are excited to hit the court for a great cause. Proceeds will benefit the Interact Club, who will use the funds to support school, community, and worldwide causes. 

Greensburg YMCA Job Fair

The Greensburg Area YMCA will be hosting a Job Fair on Tuesday, November 12 in the Welcome Center (Lobby). A representative for the various departments for the Y will be present to answer questions about the available positions within the Greensburg Area YMCA. We have something for everyone!

Wednesday, November 13

GBPA Ladies Night 

Ladies, come experience the Downtown Greensburg Shopping District during an evening of shopping, pampering, treats and best of all… a chance to win amazing gift baskets! Official fun starts at 5pm and participating stores will be open till 9pm but you are welcome to visit downtown shops ALL DAY for special deals and offerings!

Spa 309 Salon & Boutique Open House

Everyone is welcome! Wednesday, November 13 from 4-8 pm enjoy Raffles, Give Aways, Gift Baskets and Spa Specials. Happy to have Mara Rago, a local artist exhibit her Fine Art Florals and Spaghetto Art. Bella Terra will provide wine tastings and bottle purchase. Food by Sun Dawg and Caffe Barista.

Join Noble Vision Center during Greensburg’s Ladies Night for food, drinks, and furry friends! Our friends at Wayward Whiskers will be bringing some adorable (and adoptable) cats and kittens for our guests to meet! Presented by Casey Droege Cultural Productions SIX x ATE (“six by ate”) invites you to enjoy five-minute presentations from seven artists and a meal from one cuisinier. There are no formal Q & A’s or long-winded introductions, so guests spend most of the evening talking informally while eating and drinking. This relaxed environment encourages real connections, spurring future collaborations and forging new friendships.

Flat Tire Pantry Pedal 

This is a charity event that is part bike ride and part food drive. Participants are asked to bring non-perishable food items that will be donated to the Westmoreland Food Bank. The ride will last an hour. All types of bicycles welcome, the route will be through the local neighborhood. Pizza and beverages at the shop after!

City of Greensburg Developers Conference

Join Think Greensburg Friday, November 15, 2019 at the Seton Hill Performing Arts Center to learn more about the development opportunities and incentives in our growing city. Speakers from the Greensburg Community Development Corporation and the City of Greensburg will be there to discuss the various programs and services offered to developers and business owners. Youth Symphony Orchestra Fall Concert 

Join the young musicians of the WYSO Youth Orchestra program for a free concert at Seton Hill Performing Arts Center. The WYSO Philharmonic (high school) opens with two works from the classical period – Mozart’s Overture to the Marriage of Figaro and the first movement of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7.

Hats and Gloves with Love 

Once again, Feeding the Spirit is partnering with Westmoreland Community Action to kick off Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week with our annual hats, scarves and gloves drive. Between now and November 12th, donations can be dropped off at DV8 Espresso Bar and Gallery M-F between 8 AM and 3 PM or Saturdays between 9 AM and Noon. During the week leading up to the event, commencing November 12th, last minute donations can be dropped off directly at Westmoreland Community Action at 226 South Maple Avenue in Greensburg between 9 AM and 3 PM. Assembly and organization of the bags will commence promptly at 10 AM on November 17th, and we will start moving the bags out into the community as soon as they are ready!

Presentation of famous UFO, Bigfoot and Strange Encounters cases

Stan will give an illustrated presentation he has investigated since 1965. He will discuss some of the weirdest he has looked into. This is a free event at the Baltzer Meyer Historical Society.
