WYSO Philharmonic Spring Concert
Join the young musicians of the WYSO Youth Orchestra program for a free concert at Seton Hill Performing Arts Center. The Philharmonia opens the concert with arrangements of Respighi’s Ancient Aires and Dances, along with the last movement of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, closing with Highlights from Harry Potter.
Pop Up Studio: Gelli Plate with Wendy Milne
Add some dimension to your day by building layers of color and texture and printing from a “Gelli” plate. Your beautiful printed paper will then be transformed into a collage. Pop-Up Studios are fun opportunities for adults (ages 18 and above) to get in touch with their inner artist. Each class explores different techniques and media. No previous art experience is needed. Bridging the Gap – 8th Annual Fundraiser

Wellness on the Point is hosting a Mothers’ Day Yin Yoga event with Robin of Sunterra Yoga. This 60 minute session is suitable for all fitness levels and will primarily take place on the mat in seated or reclined positions. Yin is a form of yoga that focuses on the elongation and strengthening of the connective tissues of the body (ligaments and fascia network) while mobilizing the joint capsules. The Yin practice is gentle, slow, and meditative with specific attention paid to the breath and the specific needs of one’s body. Students will hold various positions for 1-10 minutes while utilizing props to assure correct form and comfort. Blocks will be provided. The students’ own pillow(s) may be used in place of bolsters to offer support in different poses. $15 per student…or…bring your mom for a total of $25 for both of you!
