For families with children age birth thru age five. A forty-five minute music & movement experience. Come celebrate the holidays with us as we sing, move, and play together! Add some extra joy to the season. $15 first child, $20 for two or more siblings. Parents and adults attend free of charge!

Teaching African American History

The Westmoreland Museum of American is proud to host the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s traveling exhibition, African American Art in the 20th Century, opening February 16. We invite all regional teachers K-12 and administrators to the Museum to learn how to teach African American history with art. A special emphasis will be placed on Pennsylvania’s Black history. This three-hour ACT 48 workshop will include a historical presentation and opportunities to apply these learnings back to classroom practice. Teachers will each receive a packet with images and information on the artists in the exhibition. Flat Tire Christmas Bike Ride

Road, gravel, hybrid, e-bike, mountain bike, bike bike, all the bikes welcome. Tour de’ Greensburg Christmas style. We will leave the shop and pedal our way up into the local neighborhoods to gander at all the fancy lights and decorations. Please dress appropriately for the temps and make sure you have lights. Likely shop beers to follow ride. Merry Christmas. Ugly sweaters and bike decorations encouraged.

Home for the Holidays

Skate with Santa

Please join us to celebrate the Holidays with our ‘Skate with Santa’ at the Kirk S. Nevin Arena! The event will take place on Sunday, December 22nd during the usual open skate time of 2 to 4pm. Regular open skate prices apply: $5 per child, $6 per adult, and $3 skate rental per person. 2 to 3pm – Pictures with Santa! Santa will be here to listen to all the children’s Holiday wishes; bring your camera to capture the moment! 3pm – Chuck-A-Puck! $1 per puck; each child will have a chance to win big prizes out on the ice by trying to get their puck closest to the bucket at center ice! 3 to 4pm – Skating with Santa! The whole family is welcome to join Santa out on the ice!
