Dancing with the Celebrities

Join us for a spectacular evening including food stations from all your favorite restaurants, a celebrity dance competition and an “after party” that hosts desserts, music, dancing, and lots of fun! Dozens of food stations from local restaurants & caterers will be set up all throughout the Megan’s Suite! Two bars will be set up serving complimentary beer and wine and a cash bar for additional cocktails and spirits. After your Celebrities take the stage for a fun dance competition, you will be able to participate by voting for your favorite! After judging and awards, the party continues as the Palace Theatre turns into a big after party boosting dessert stations, music, and dancing.

Opening Day at Hanna’s Town

Historic Hanna’s Town will open to the public for the 2019 season on Saturday, May 4th. In addition to tours of the Revolutionary War era historic site, special opening day activities will include living history displays, historic toys and games for children, planting in the kitchen garden, and tea in the historic Klingensmith House (see separate event). The Museum Shop will be open in the new Westmoreland History Education Center and feature opening day specials. In 2019, Hanna’s Town became the new home of the Westmoreland Historical Society, which has served as stewards of Hanna’s Town since the 1960s.

Yoga Under the Stars

What’s one way relax after a long week and a Saturday full of activities? We recommend endorphins. We have what you need to keep your weekend right – a mood boosting flow under the stars. Join us on the top floor of Robert Bell Parking Garage in downtown Greensburg on May 4 from 7:30-8:30pm for Yoga Under the Stars. Located at 106 W. Otterman St. there is plenty of parking available, you can take the elevator up to the top level. Please bring your own mat and don’t forget your water, class will begin promptly at 7:30pm.

Children’s Art Class: What is your viewpoint?

If we all draw the same object, why does it look so different? Is it who we are, where we are, or where we have been? This class will use observation skills to create art from different viewpoints. Spring Tea at Historic Hanna’s Town

To celebrate the opening day of Hanna’s Town, we will be hosting a special Spring Tea program. A “full tea” will be served, which includes savories, scones, pastries, and of course, tea. Seatings are at 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The cost is $20 for Historical Society members and $25 for nonmembers. Space is limited and advance registration is required. Please call the Westmoreland Historical Society to reserve your spot.

Secret Mother’s Day Gift Shop

Moms show their love all year long! Make her Mother’s Day extra special this year, and allow the kids to pick out their own special gift for Mom and/or Grandma. Bring your children or grandchildren into our Secret Mother’s Day Gift Shop and allow them to shop (with help from our staff for the little ones) for that special woman or women in their lives! Most items will be under $20. Plus, we will have our Holiday Hand Prints which is always a great GIFT. While the kids are shopping, you can enjoy light refreshments and small bites. Princess Paint & Sip
