Our Favorite Spots for Live Music in Greensburg this Summer
Whether it’s a band on a national tour or a local group booking its first gig at the neighborhood bar, summer brings a lot of opportunities to experience excellent live music in Greensburg. Check out these outdoor spots where you can get your groove on and enjoy some patio drinks at the same time!
SummerSounds at St. Clair Park
We obviously would put a Greensburg summer favorite on this list! From rock, to pop to country and everything in between, SummerSounds free concerts have a little bit of everything for anyone! Friday nights at the park are filled with people from the community enjoying up and coming acts from all over the country. Starting at 7pm with the opening act beginning at 6pm, these weekly shows are a perfect spot to catch some live music and chat with old and new friends! TGIS – Thank Goodness It’s Summer at The Palace Theatre Courtyard
There’s no better way to wash off the work week and get in the summer mood than with the TGIS Summer Concert Series! Each Thursday evening, the courtyard at The Palace Theatre is packed with people enjoying local artists from 6:00-9:30pm. With the beautiful Art in the Alley next to it, it’s the perfect opportunity to explore the installations and enjoy an evening of the arts! Twin Lakes Summer Concert Series
The last few years, Twin Lakes has hosted music at the Brian T. Rusnock Amphitheater on Saturday evenings. From rock, to country, to even polka, these relaxing free concerts are a great way to enjoy the park, bring the pup and listed to wonderful music! There is limited seating at the amphitheater so they encourage you to bring a lawn chair. So grab a picnic basket and head to Twin Lakes! For more info and to find out their latest shows click here.
The Olde Spitfire Grille and Stonewater Music Nights
With a Weekend Warmup concert series and live music on Friday or Saturday nights, Spitfire and its sister business, Stonewater (which is right above their patio) they offer a few different opportunities during the week to enjoy the beautiful summer weather with a cocktail in hand. Make sure to give Spitfire and Stonewater a like on Facebook to keep up to date on which nights they have music and whose playing! Oh and they allow pups on the patio!! (well behaved of course!)
J Corks Live Music Saturdays
The patio at J Corks in downtown Greensburg is one of our favorites and what’s even better is that they have live music on Saturday nights from 8-10pm! It’s the perfect atmosphere to grab a cocktail or two and enjoy the local musicians. This summer on July 21 and August 25, they are hosting French Quarter New Orleans Night with jazz music from Bethany James and special creole menu features! Make sure to like their Facebook page to keep up with the music schedule!
Outdoor Live Music at Headkeeper
One of the communities favorite spots to grab food and drinks (hello 400 plus cans and bottles of beer plus drafts!) is Headkeeper Tapas Bar. With their beautiful patio, it’s only perfect that they host live music occasionally during the summer months! Like their Facebook page to watch for upcoming shows, the next one is July 8 with the Phisbins!
Acoustic Thursdays at All Saints Brewery
Last year All Saints Brewery opened their back patio to the public and it was well worth the wait! Multi tiered and plenty of space to listen to local musicians playing acoustic sets from 6-9pm every Thursday. Craft beers, live music and of course food trucks make it the perfect start to the weekend! Like their Facebook page to check out the band and food truck schedule!
Acoustic Music Sunday Fundays at Parkwood Inn
We love a good Sunday Funday and Parkwood has them covered with acoustic music from 2-5 every weekend! Local musicians set up on their deck to play and enjoy the last day before the week starts! They have a full schedule on their Facebook page from June to September, so there’s plenty of time to catch your favorite musician! Oh and make sure to grab a basket of their homemade chips! They are some of our favorites!
Bar 9 Summer Holiday Music Nights
At Bar 9, they often have live music during summer holiday weekends on their outdoor patio! Their next shows are the Sunday before the July 4 and the Sunday before Labor Day!

July 1 – Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra Summer Concert in the Park
Celebrate the Fourth of July with the symphony! Take family and friends to their annual free concert of classics, patriotic favorites and pops at St. Clair Park in Greensburg. The one-hour program starting at 7pm, includes Superman, Armed Forces Salute and Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture and many more. Conducted by Daniel Meyer. Donations are accepted to benefit the WSO.
