It was 1994, when Karen Barns opened Shalimar Bazaar in downtown Greensburg and over the last 25 years she’s been in 3 different locations and has specialized in interior design a silk flowers at her boutique. For the last 11 years she’s been located at 159 E. Otterman St. but the time has come to retire.
“I’ll miss all of my wonderful customers,” said Barns. “But it’s time to relax and enjoy life.”
Shalimar has been the go to place for beautiful and intricate Christmas ornaments with their Christmas Extravaganza event being a site to behold. Inside of the boutique at holiday time is filled to the brim with lights and brightly colored ornaments for sale. Many of those items are now discounted as part of their Retirement Sellebration.
Even though the boutique is closing after 25 years, there are still many treasures to be found in the boutique. From fashion to ornaments to home decor and everything in between, Shalimar Bazaar has something for everyone.
Items are being added daily to the Sellebration with many items 20-60% off. The hours for the week are posted on their Facebook page.
