Patio Season is Here! Our Favorite Restaurant Patios in Greensburg

The weather is warming and summer is quickly approaching and what better way to enjoy yourself on a sunny day than by having a drink outdoors!

Greensburg is home to all kinds of establishments that feature beautiful and spacious outdoor seating to accompany food and drinks being served. Whether it be casual or more upscale, our city has just the spot to fit the vibe you’re looking for.

Major Stokes is located on 108 W Pittsburgh St and features a rustic patio space in addition to their bar and dining area. The idea of this place is that no-nonsense service along with craft spirits and local beers makes for a better experience. Expect great food at a reasonable price and a laid back atmosphere. 

El Diablo Brewing and Wood-fired Kitchen opened in 2021 and has a nice sized patio and outdoor bar, perfect for those evenings with friends and family. Grab a pizza or one of the many other items on their menu and enjoy local craft beer! Located on 119 across from Lynch Field it’s just outside of downtown and a great spot for outdoor dining!

J Corks, located on E Pittsburgh Street, has a great patio and delicious food and cocktails to go along with it! Their beautiful patio has plenty of seating and they often have live acoustic music. Walking distance from The Palace Theatre, St. Clair Park and other places in Greensburg, J Corks is a great spot for outdoor dining.

The Headkeeper has been a local staple in terms of social outings and drinks with friends and family for some time. Located on 618 S Main Street, their spacious patio is the perfect place to enjoy one of their tasteful tapas’; small appetizers that are beautifully prepared. They offer a wide variety of craft beer and the small portions and extent of menu options make it the perfect place for sharing!

Tucked in between two of their bars, The Rialto has a perfect secluded patio perfect for dining for lunch or dinner. Heading to The Palace for a show? Grab a table outside and enjoy their menu and a cocktail!

Bar Nine is similar in terms of atmosphere to the Headkeeper, and is located almost directly across from it. Their menu is distinguishable in terms of both portion sizes and style, and would likely cater better to the hungrier person. They offer seafood dishes like Lobster Mac n’ Cheese and Ahi Fish Tacos that are perfect to enjoy under the summer sun in their beautiful outdoor seating area. Their cocktail menu is also worth checking out.

The most important meal of the day is… Brunch! Enjoy one of the Sun Dawg Cafe’s wide variety of dishes and hand crafted cocktails on a table outside. This renowned brunch spot offers a fresh vibe and a great view of main street right in the heart of greensburg. Stop by their location at 37 N Main St and try a quinoa bowl or breakfast taco.

Sunset Cafe is located at 302 S Urania Avenue, and is the first place in Greensburg to serve pizza and pasta dishes since its opening in 1933. However, the addition of their patio just came due to the pandemic and restrictions on indoor dining. They offer seasonal menus in addition to selections of wine and cocktails. Pizza is not currently on the menu.

If you’re in the mood for pizza and sun, Little E’s Pizzeria is located at 807 Highland Ave and serves traditional pizza along with many organic and gluten free options. You can enjoy wine and craft beer on their patio, along with other food like salads and hoagies.

The Boulevard is a classic American grill that serves a variety of dishes and prides themselves on scratch made soups and sauces. Their menu specials rotate monthly, and they keep a good selection of beer on tap and in the fridge. Enjoy one of their dishes and a cold one outside in their patio space at 900 Towne Square Dr.

Degennaro’s Restaurant and Lounge is located on 1402 Broad St. Their fenced patio is the perfect place to enjoy some of their authentic italian cuisine that they have been serving and perfecting in Greensburg since 1999. Their full bar pairs perfectly with their extensive menu options, laid back atmosphere and friendly environment. 

The Olde Spitfire Grill is renowned for their excellent food, service, and fun friendly atmosphere. Winning the 2014 Pittsburgh A-List’s “Best New American Restaurant” award, they feature a grill, smoker, and wood fired oven all in house to prepare anything from pizzas to beef brisket. The patio area is gorgeous, surrounded by stone and filled with plant life. It really is the perfect area to enjoy an afternoon or night outside. Stop by and check them out at 1517 Broad St in Greensburg.

Pit Take BBQ is a southern style mobile bbq catering service that is located on 640 N Main Street. In addition to offering pick up and delivery, they welcome dine in customers both in their store and on their patio space. Eat three of their exclusive BBQ Sundaes in 30 minutes and go down in history on their wall of fame. You get a shirt to take home for completing the challenge as well!

Another classic and favorite spot in Greensburg is the Parkwood Inn. They have a two level patio that is perfect for those spring and summer nights with friends and family! Grab a pizza and a few beers to enjoy the sunshine and warm weather at Parkwood!

The Iron Rock Tap House opened its doors in December of 2019 and prides itself on providing “Greensburg’s Finest Upscale Casual Cuisine”. Located at 5406 Lincoln Highway across from the mall and adjacent to the new Live! Casino. Iron Rock boasts 4,000 square feet of outdoor dining space. The upper deck features couches and firepits and so does the lower. They offer an extensive liquor selection to be enjoyed outside on their beautiful patios and deck.

If you’re looking for something slightly more upscale than Iron Rock, Vallozzi’s is an italian restaurant that prides itself on providing patrons with a fine dining experience. They serve traditional Italian entrees and decadent desserts (they even have a chocolate menu!). Pair a bowl of pasta or a pizza with a glass of wine and enjoy all of this seated outdoors! 

In the new Live! Casino Greensburg is fortunate enough to have Guy’s American Eatery. This restaurant features scratch made award winning recipes from Guy Fieri himself, in addition to craft beer and cocktails! Grab a burger and drink outside with your friends with the cash you win on the floor!

Mornings spend outside drinking a cup of coffee always help the day start out great. DV8 Espresso Bar & Gallery has a cute patio behind their location as well as a couple of tables in front of the coffee shop on South Pennsylvania Avenue.

Morelands at Waterworks is another great spot to sit on a patio for a delicious meal and cocktail! With their good sized outdoor space, there’s plenty of room for you to grab some friends and enjoy the beautiful spring and summer weather!

Breweries are always a great time. Combine beer, friends, and the summer sun and you’re bound to have an outing to remember. That’s why All Saints Brewing Company located on Route 119 and Roseytown Road is worth checking out! A tasteful microbrewery, they host events like trivia nights and have both upper and lower level outdoor seating. Check out their calendar on their website to see even more upcoming events like live music!

 Lastly, worth mentioning is Invisible Man Brewing. While they do not have a designated patio area, you can enjoy one of IMB’s beers at a table outside. Be sure to check out their facebook to see what food trucks they’ll feature for your visit. They also allow guests to bring in food from home or a restaurant of their choice. Their location on 132 S Pennsylvania Ave is close in vicinity to many of Greensburg’s favorite local restaurants.
