Lapels a Fine Men’s Clothier, is bringing a men’s shoes to Greensburg by adding a department to their store on South Pennsylvania Avenue. We talked with Kevin Miscik, the owner, to ask about the store’s new men’s shoe department, what he has planned for the future and the upcoming Tommy Bahama Summer Sale & Island party. Even after 15 years, Miscik is still excited to evolve and bring new things to Downtown Greensburg.
The number of customer requests was the catalyst to the addition of a men’s shoe line. Lapels carried shoes in the past, but never a full department. Miscik wanted to take things a step further and add a full shoe department to successfully complete a men’s wardrobe.
Johnston & Murphy, the first brand to be offered, was founded in 1850 and has been synonymous with better men’s stores, lines and brands. Miscik mentioned that he is currently working with several vendors to bring other lines into the store.
There is no worrying about if Lapels will have the shoes you are looking to purchase in stock! Miscik ensures that he always has sizes in stock of the shoes that are being carried. If for any reason there isn’t a size available, there is a catalog handy to order what is needed.
The addition of the shoe department is receiving an overwhelming, but appreciated response!
“Customers are so excited and now feel that Lapels is a full clothing experience,” said Miscik. “They can now purchase everything needed for a full wardrobe in the store. New additions are periodically added to the store and so keep an eye out for what’s to come.”
Recently this past spring, Lapels started adding more in the way of jewelry for men including leather bracelets and a line of gift wear. To attract a younger clientele Lapels has started offering fun flask sets, pop sockets and modern, young styles! Most importantly, a new addition will be taking place in the near future. Miscik wouldn’t give too much away, but said there is “something very very big” in the works.
This Friday, July 13, Lapels is hosing its biggest event for the summer, their Tommy Bahama Summer Sale & Island Party from 4pm – 8pm! This island inspired party will consist of island music, food, giveaways and special discounts on summer merchandise. You won’t want to miss out on Bob’s Homemade Sangria and Mary’s Famous Rum Cake! The sale continues Saturday if you are unable to make it Friday evening.
