With February coming to a close, it’s time to check out Greensburg’s events in March! Have an event coming up? Add it to our event calendar!

FRIDAY, MARCH 1

Pancakes for a Purpose Relay for Life Fundraiser
This event will be taking place at the Pitt-Greensburg Office of Housing & Residence Life. Join us from 5-8 p.m. for a pancake supper! The proceeds will go towards Pitt-Greensburg’s Relay for Life Fundraiser. There will also be a 50/50, raffles, and free refills.

GSHS Presents MAMMA MIA!
Starting at 7:30 opening night, ‘Mamma Mia!’ will be presented at Greensburg Salem High School. Tickets go on sale in the lobby starting February 25th at 6:00 p.m. Tickets will also be available 1 hour before each show.

2019 Spring Gala- Havana Nights
Join this event at the Westmoreland County Blind Association for a savory Cuban buffet and rum bar, along with a cigar lounge hosted by Nelson Loguasto’s Cigars. It starts at 6:00 p.m. and costs $50 per person.

Food Truck Friday
The Block Food Truck will be parked outside of Hugo’s this Friday! Come enjoy some delicious wings and onion rings.

SATURDAY, MARCH 2

GSHS Presents MAMMA MIA!
General admission is $8 per person, and reserved seats are $10 each. The Saturday show also starts at 7:30 p.m.

SUNDAY, MARCH 3

30th Annual Greensburg Open
Head to Main Bowling Center for the 30th Annual Greensburg Open! The start times are at either 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. 

Westmoreland County Empty Bowl
Join Hempfield Area High School to benefit the Westmoreland County Food Bank! A $15 donation includes a handcrafted bowl, a wonderful meal of soup from local restaurants, bread, and entertainment. The event is from 12-4 p.m. Teachers and students: present your I.D. for a $5 discount.

GSHS Presents ‘MAMMA MIA!’
The Sunday show starts at 2 p.m.

Celebrating Quilts, Music, and Movement
This event takes place from 2:00-3:30 p.m. at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art! Join faculty and students from Seton Hill from the Dance, Music Theater and Music programs as they present a special performance.

TUESDAY, MARCH 5

Mardi Gras Party at Lapels
Stop in from 5-8 p.m. to welcome the spring season with new fashions and accessories! Enjoy Mardi Gras appetizers, drinks, and desserts while you shop.

Sip & Strum
Hosted by the Westmoreland Cultural Trust, this event will start at 6:00 on Tuesday, March 5th. The event, which is the first of four, focuses on chords. Bring a ukulele, and they’ll bring the sipping ingredients!

Unbalanced Harmony
Held at the Greensburg Garden & Civic Center, Unbalanced Harmony will be all about art! Sarah Hunter will be exhibiting her work. The free event is from 6-8 p.m and open to the public.

Guest Bartending Night
Come kick off our BOWL FOR KIDS’ SAKE event at our annual Guest Bartender Night! It’s a night you will be sure to remember at Oliver’s Pourhouse as we display the epic BATTLE OF THE BANKS!

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6

Clay Play Workshops – Self Paced
Feel free to experiment with wheel throwing and hand building. All students work at their own pace and come when able. Ages: high school-adult Wednesdays 6:30-9:00 beginning March 6 at the Greensburg Art Center.

THURSDAY, MARCH 7

Kevin Paris Goodvibes Yoga & Live Music
Join singer-songwriter Kevin Paris and Ange Meredino at Red Brick Yoga for an incredible yoga experience! Enjoy the good vibes & magic for only $30.

FRIDAY, MARCH 8

Art on Tap
Head to the Westmoreland Museum of American Art on the second Friday of every month! There will be live music, an art scavenger hunt, light bites from Elegant Catering, and drinks–including beer from All Saints Brewing Company. The event is being held from 5-7 p.m. and costs $12 in advance ($9 for members) and $15 at door ($10 for members).

$5 Friday! Celebrate YOU!
For five dollars, celebrate you at Fitness Envi! Dress in pole-dancing attire. This event from 7:00-8:00 p.m. sells out quickly, so make sure to register in advance! 

SATURDAY, MARCH 9

Stage Right Breaks a World Record
The Guinness Book of World Records has approved Stage Right to break the record for fastest musical production. This will take place at the Palace Theater from 5:30-8 p.m., but the public is allowed to stop in and watch the progress throughout the day. Stage Right will be attempting to cast, rehearse, create sets, etc., and perform in only 14 hours and 30 minutes.

30th Annual Greensburg Open
This event at Main Bowling Center will be from 10:00-1:00 p.m. and 2:00-5:00 p.m. 

MONDAY, MARCH 11

Tot Time (8 Months to 2 Years)
Bring your little one to the Greensburg-Hempfield Library for story time and play! There will be songs, stories, and some sensory play in the Katie Room.

TUESDAY, MARCH 12

Understanding Financial Statements
Gain a better understanding of financial statements at the Greensburg-Hempfield Library! The event is from 5-8 p.m.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13

Discover Medicare Seminar
At Wellness on The Point, the Discover Medicare Seminar will be discussing the types of medicare, parts A & B, from 7-8:15 p.m. There will be information provided on Medicare enrollment timelines, Medicare supplements, and Medicare prescription-drug coverage.

Pop-Up Studio: For the Love of Pi
Celebrate Pi Day at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art by etching your own Pi plate! This pop-up studio event is from 6:00-8:00 p.m and for ages 18 and over.

FRIDAY, MARCH 15

St. Patrick’s Day Party
Come celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Prothonotary Christina O’Brien from 4:00-7:00 p.m.! There will be great food, green beer, baskets, and green attire! The event will take place at Greensburg Truck Company #2. 

Date Night! A Fitness Envi Event 
The third Friday of every month will be dedicated to you and your significant other (can also be a friend, date, mom, etc). Bring your own beer and enjoy from 6:30-8:00 p.m. This event costs $45 per person. 

SATURDAY, MARCH 16

St. Patrick’s Day Party
Head to the All Saints Brewing Company and celebrate the Irish holiday! The doors will be open from 2:00-10:00 p.m. Music will be provided by Kevin Dale and his band from 4:00-8:00 p.m. There will also be food trucks including Elegant Catering Food Truck and Earth, Wheel, and Fire Wood Fired Pizzas.

St. Patrick’s Day Party with DJ Scott-E
Celebrate at Parkwood Inn for the St. Patrick’s Day Party with DJ Scott-E! There will be food and drink specials, green beer, festive cocktails, giveaways, and more!

Music & Magic
Hosted by the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra, Music & Magic will be taking place from 7:30-9 p.m. and includes symphonies conducted by Daniel Meyer.

Hosted by the Westmoreland Cultural Trust, Sip & Strum will start at 6:00 p.m. This week’s focus will be on how to strum the ukulele.

Great American Music: Willow Hill
Enjoy a pop country concert at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art! The band Willow Hill will be performing from 6:30-9:00 p.m. There will be food from Elegant Catering, and each Great American Series concert will have cash bar with beer, wine, soft drinks, and specialty cocktails. 

SATURDAY, MARCH 23

Mammoth Beer Mile & 5K
Head to the Westmoreland Fair for the Mammoth Beer Mile & 5K! The event will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and presented by Rivertowne Brewing. Drink beer and run a mile!

Greensburg Hose Company #7 & #6 Cash Bash
Hosted at Greensburg Hose Company #7, this event takes place from 5:00-10:00 p.m. There will be 2 numbers per ticket, and the tickets cost $20.00 each.

Harrold Schoolhouse Grand Opening
Join Harrold Schoolhouse Event Center’s grand opening from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Seats are limited, so get your tickets before they sell out! They are $27.00 each.

Middle School Maker Mondays
This event, held at the Greensburg Hempfield Library, is for grades 6-8 or ages 11-14. Come to the Katie Room, eat snacks, and make new friends! Middle School Maker Mondays are from 6:00-7:30 p.m. 

TUESDAY, MARCH 26

Mini Makers
Bring your child to the Greensburg Hempfield Library for Mini Makers, an event for ages 8-10 or grades 3-5. It will take place from 6:00-7:30 p.m., and this event will feature strawbees and rigamajig. 

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 27

Bartender Showdown for Shelby
Shelby LeBar is a 27 year old young woman who has worked at Parkwood Inn as a server until her life has recently been put on hold by severe epilepsy and pending brain surgery. Help Parkwood Inn alleviate some of her financial burdens by joining them for this guest bartending event!

SATURDAY, MARCH 30

Workshop by Bob Bickers
Working along with the instructor, Bob Bickers, participants will learn the basics of composition, effective use of colors and values, and the use of brushes, tools and techniques. This event will be at the Greensburg Art Center and starts at 1:00 p.m.

Central Westmoreland Habitat for Humanity’s 6th Annual Gala!
This event will be taking place at Stratigos Banquet Center from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m and is hosted by Central Westmoreland Habitat for Humanity. Individual tickets cost $50 per person.

Liquid Motion Dance Workshop
Dance from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at FitnessEnvi! There will be two workshops–Secrets to Understanding Basework and Flares, Flops, and Money Shots.

Greensburg YMCA Inaugural Indoor Triathlon 
Head to the Greensburg YMCA for their first ever Indoor Triathlon! The event will take place at 8:00 a.m.
