New Greensburg Restaurant, Rassame’s Thai Cuisine to Open Wednesday
Greensburg’s newest eatery, Rassame’s Thai Cuisine, will open its doors to business Wednesday, May 30. Located at 430 Grove Street, the authentic Thai restaurant will offer dine in, take out and catering options to their customers.
Rassame, the owner of Rassame’s Thai Cuisine, moved to America just over 2 and a half years ago. Her and her husband, Keith King, who is American, have been looking for a potential property for the last year. They chose Greensburg after doing some research and discovering that there has never been a Thai restaurant in the area. With the growth Greensburg is starting to see, they saw an opportunity to build their business in an area going through a revitalization.
“We are excited to be serving the Greensburg area and bringing something new to the community,” said Keith King. “We are hoping everyone in the area has an opportunity to give authentic Thai food a try or find something new to enjoy.”
Since their business sign went up about a month ago, the Greensburg community has been waiting patiently for the new restaurant and a cuisine that isn’t available in our area.
“I’m sure I can speak for everyone at City Hall when I say that we are excited to see so many businesses and projects starting up throughout Greensburg,” said City Council Member, Greg Mertz.”The ideas, creativity, and abilities are there among our residents and our region’s entrepreneurs to help Greensburg grow. Rassame’s Thai Cuisine is another example of just that. It not only adds value to our Bunker Hill neighborhood but the City as a whole.”
The chefs and cooks at Rassame’s are from Thailand, lending to their authentic cuisine. With the many pictures and descriptions with all of the menu items, customers who have never had Thai food before will be able to choose dishes based on that.
“I got a chance to look at the menu a few weeks ago and everything looks amazing. We are all ecstatic to have a restaurant coming to the City that is a different style than what we currently have; we hope that trend continues,” said City Administrator, Kelsye Milliron. “Between the openings of Rassame’s and Prantls, Grove Street is going to be a happening part of town!
Rassame’s Thai Cuisine opens Wednesday, May 30 serving both lunch and dinner at their Grove Street location. Make sure to check out photos of their menu below.
