Monday, October 29

Westmoreland Vigil for the Victims

Monday evening at the Westmoreland Courthouse for a candlelight vigil. We will gather as a community to mourn the victims of the October 27 mass shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. We condemn antisemitism, violence, and bigotry of any kind. We also stand together to urge our leaders to take action to prevent future tragedies of this nature.Counselors from Blackburn Center will be available.

Coffee and Community

Join the commpunity at Dv8 before the “Courthouse Vigil for the Victims” for a complimentary drip coffee as we come together as a community of love. Once again, we will not let hate win.
Join us if you dare for a walk through our scary Haunted Cellar at the Greensburg Hempfield Area Library. Strobe lights may be used.

Tuesday, October 20

Wizards N’At Art Exhibit

Local artist Moira Richardson will be exhibiting her art series Wizards N’At at the Greensburg Garden & Civic Center from October 3 – 31. The Wizards N’At series is a colorful take on the nighttime sky and outer space, featuring silhouette art, portraits of magical beings and UFOs, which incorporate UV-reactive and glow-in-the-dark elements.

Free Admission Wednesday Evenings

Relax at The Westmoreland from 5 pm – 7 pm after your long work day! Grab some bites from the food truck in the parking lot!

Spookyasana on Halloween! Join Kayla for a spooky infused yoga class with a wine and beer taste afterwards.

Scary Karaoke Halloween Party

Karaoke with Brenda Lynn at Waterworks with a $100 Prize to Best Costume.

Greensburg’s Annual Halloween Parade

Line up begins at 5:15 at the Aerobic Center with the parade beginning at 5:30 led by the Greensburg Salem Marching Band! The route is one lap around the walking track with bags of candy given to each child dressed in costume at the end of the parade. Trick or Treating for the City of Greensburg is 6-8pm.

Thursday, November 1

Open House Public Meeting

The public is invited to review the final draft of the new comprehensive plan, Reimagining Our Westmoreland, at The Palace Theatre. Meetings will take place at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., and will cover seven core objectives.

Candlelight Open House

Join Historic Hanna’s Town for a free, family friendly evening. Starting at 4 p.m., there will be costumed re-enactors, snacks and refreshments, and shopping all while supporting the Westmoreland County Historical Society.

Roxberry Boutique Holiday Open House

Join Roxberry Boutique and Spa 309 for Our Holiday Open House! Grab your friends and enjoy a night of Shopping, Spa Specials and Snacks. Boutique and Spa Giveaways every 15 minutes! Free gift with Roxberry Boutique Purchase!

Angry Balls Friday’s

Mr. Toads is hosting their first Angry Balls Night, Friday November 2nd, 10pm-midnight. Join the Angry Orchard & Fireball girls for a night of games, prizes & give-outs. Grab your friends and come to Toads, where it’s always a good time.

Saturday, November 3

Fall Cleanup

Join the Union Cemetery of Greensburg from 8:30 p.m. to noon to cleanup the Cemetery. It is recommended to wear gloves and it would be greatly appreciated if individuals bring weedeaters, grass rakes and loppers.

Stella’s 4th Adoption Day Party!

Stella will be celebrating her 4th Adoption Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Canine Confections. Every doggie that stops in will get doggie cake, ice cream and a special treat! Humans will receive 10% off Earthborn Holistic products and 20% off all other purchases. Barker’s Club card members will receive double punches as well.

Wine and Whiskers

Join Noble Vision Center for wine, raffles and animal adoptions with Wayward Whiskers and Paws Across Pittsburgh from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sales proceeds will benefit the rescues!

Holiday Mart Weekend

The Committee for The Westmoreland will be hosting this two-day event starting at 11 a.m., both days. There will be discounted shopping, refreshments and gift wrapping! There will be a special performance by the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra String Quartet on Sunday starting at 1 p.m.

Palace Theatre Craft & Vendor Show

Shop with a variety of the area’s crafters and vendors in support of the Palace Theatre  of Greensburg starting at 11 a.m.

Soup for a Claus

Sponsored by Charley Family Shop N Save and benefiting Operation Santa Claus, the Fifth Annual Soup for a Claus will be from 12-3 p.m. Try delicious soups from your favorite local restaurants while shopping – all for a great cause.
