Accepted Events: community events, one time events/classes/programs, special events and charity events. Please refrain from adding continuous events or weekly classes. Same events with multiple days may not be posted every day due to the amount of other events. We’d like to give everyone an opportunity for people to see their events.
Meditation basics is a 6 week course designed to teach a beginner the fundamentals of meditation. In this 6 week course we will practice and discuss various meditation techniques. Each class will start with a brief series of movements to stretch out the body and enable the student to sit or rest comfortably for the meditation practice. We will practice Progressive Relaxation, Metta Meditation (Loving Kindness), Mindfulness, Breath Awareness, Zen Meditation, and Yoga Nidra as part of the 6 weeks.
Classes start September 18th and continue through October 23rd. This 6 week course is $50 and for individuals ages 14 and older.
