Now that summer’s in full swing, there’s no better time to get acquainted with our local ice cream spots. Ice cream (and all of the other frozen treats that surround it) is the ultimate cure-all, the answer to a hot summer afternoon or a scraped knee. These are the most buzzworthy ice cream shops in Greensburg worth seeking out and what to order when you get there!
Got the munchies and an empty freezer? Fear not: Tastyland, has you covered. This great Greensburg classic has a bit of a cult following! Tastyland has weekly specialty flavors and items they post the beginning of each month along with a Milkshake ‘happy hour’ with shakes being 1/2 off from 2-4pm Monday-Friday and they even have ice cream treats for the pups! So stop by Tastyland, they get busy so expect a wait, and don’t forget to say hi to the chickens!

The Meadow’s Frozen Custard
If ice cream isn’t quite rich enough for you, then it’s time to try custard. Though it looks like classic soft serve, frozen custard adds eggs to the mix, creating a thicker, less airy dessert. Offering up cones, cups, pints, sundaes, shakes, classic favorites and even frozen yogurt, The Meadow’s has plenty of options at their location on Mount Pleasant St. Their flavors of the day have the community lining up for their favorites so prepare to wait in line for a while but it is well worth it!
Our must have item: Gelati with mango Italian ice and vanilla custard

McFeely’s Gourmet Chocolate

PA Ave and Pittsburgh St. McFeely’s is the perfect location to swing by during your lunch break for a scoop or two! Grab a cone (and maybe some of their delectable homemade chocolate) and walk to the parklet further down the street to enjoy the beautiful summer weather in the shade under the trees! You may also see them at events and in neighborhoods throughout the county as they have an Ice Cream Truck, an Arctic Ice Truck and a Novelty Ice Cream Man!
Our must have item: Banana Cream Pie ice cream
Peaches & Cream
With its sliding service windows and some outdoor seating, Peaches & Cream looks like any other roadside ice cream stand. But ordering a soft-serve cone from the window counter at this Rt. 30 stand should be high on your summer bucket list.
