CPR/AED/First Aid Training

This Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course, from 12-4PM at Satya Yoga Greensburg, enables students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age – adults and pediatric. Individuals who successfully complete this course will receive an American Red Cross certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. $60 per person and pre-registration is required. Workshop by Bob Bickers

Working along with the instructor, Bob Bickers, participants will learn the basics of composition, effective use of colors and values, and the use of brushes, tools and techniques. This event will be at the Greensburg Art Center and starts at 1:00 p.m.

Brewery Tour and Tasting Event at All Saints Brewing Co.

80’s Adult Prom

Bowl For Kids’s Sake

GHAL Bingo Fundraiser

Join us at West Point Fire Fall from 12-4:30PM for the 5th Annual GHAL Bingo Fundraiser!  Lunch is from 12-1:30PM and bingo is directly following.  Tickets are $25 and can be purchased from the library or a library board member.  Tickets must be purchased in advance as the event typically sells out.  Ticket includes lunch, all bingo cards for 25+ games, and much more fun! Community Day: Earth Month

Take part in a fun-filled celebration of the arts, community and planet earth at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art. From 11AM-4PM, meet with the Greensburg Garden Center and leave with a flower or some seeds to plant in your own garden. Performance by Stage Right as well as upcycled art activities for all ages! Purchase a reusable tote and screen print it yourself in our studio. Stay and enjoy the landscape in the Museum garden and those in the galleries.

Crites, an internationally-shown artist from Seattle, gained acclaim in the art world by exploring tough subject matter through color theory in his paintings. Art on Tap 2.0

Experience Art on Tap in a whole new way from 5-9 PM! This revamped program includes two free drink tickets (cash bar after), music, scavenger hunts, and with light bites from Elegant Catering. Grab an adult sippy cup and experience entertainment throughout the galleries

Jesus Christ Superstar by Stage Right

Join us for Stage Right’s latest production at the Palace Theatre!  This timeless rock opera is set against the backdrop of an extraordinary and universally-known series of events but seen, unusually, through the eyes of Judas Iscariot. Loosely based on the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, Superstar follows the last week of Jesus Christ’s life. The story, told entirely through song, explores the personal relationships and struggles between Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalene, his disciples, his followers and the Roman Empire. Shows are Friday the 12th and Saturday the 13th at 7:30 PM, and a Sunday matinee feature on the 14th at 2PM.  Tickets: Adults-$19, $23, $26 & Students- $16, $19, $21.

Fill a Truck Event

Make that used clothing go twice as far! Donate your used clothing, shoes, purses, etc. and not only will they find new homes, but Feeding the Spirit will be compensated for each pound donated. Feeding the Spirit’s Annual Fill A Truck Event at Z&M Motorcycles will start at 9:30AM. Join us to fill our truck with gently used clothing, bedding, shoes, and purses. We work directly with Mission Partners to collect the donations. Mission Partners distributes the collection and reimburses us per pound collected.

Blackburn Center- Walk a Mile in Her Shoes 2019

Calling ALL courageous men of Westmoreland County … (women and children are welcome too!) This is the 9th Annual Men’s March in Westmoreland County to end all forms of gender-based violence. It is a call to action to our community, and a way to raise much-needed funds to support our mission. This year, we will be back at St. Clair Park in Greensburg! Registration begins at 9AM and the walk begins at 10AM.  Online event registration will close at 12PM on April 12. Spring Craft & Vendor Show

Join us at Greensburg Salem High School from 9AM-2PM to see Hunt and Gather Style Design Studio’s latest creations at this 2nd annual event hosted by the Greensburg Salem Cheerleading Parent Association.

EggStravaganza

From 10AM-12PM at Hempfield Township Athletic Complex, join us for the annual EggStravaganza,  an egg-stra special egg hunt with the children of Hempfield Township. This event will include games, egg hunt, prizes, and an appearance by the Easter Bunny. This event is held rain or shine. Be sure to bring your own basket as well as a camera to capture those special moments. Hempfield Township residents only.  Registration required for children under 12 years old.

Restorative Yoga & CBD Massage

From 3-4:30PM at Moonglow Yoga, join Jenny Dayton, E-RYT and Erin Green, LMT, for an afternoon of ultimate relaxation. Jenny will lead you through a series of restorative yoga postures and guided meditation as Erin massages CBD oil to the neck, feet and hands. CBD oil is paving a path for the new era of human health and wellness. It is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid that does not contain THC. Gemstone & Crystal Sale

Join us again at True Health and Fitness from 2-7 PM for a fun afternoon of gemstone shopping.
Don’t worry, we won’t sell out of the big stuff this time! Rare stones, large raw and cut stones, palm stones, jewelry, and more. Light refreshments will be served and a guideline on the healing properties of the stones will be available. The event will take place in upper level (clinic) and is open to the public, please bring friends and family!

Top Dog Easter Egg Hunt

Join Youngwood Top Dog Services for a one-of-a-kind egg hunt with your dog at Christ United Methodist Church from 3-5PM! Proceeds benefit The Stoneybrook Foundation! We use a 3 acre property to spread out & hide hundreds of eggs! We will pass our small bags to each guest that comes. Each pup can pick up and have 10 eggs of any assorted color except gold, which every group will be allowed one golden egg. Tim Bush is releasing a debut solo album “A New Day Will Dawn”, which will be performed live in its entirety at All Saints Brewing in the Brew House. Chakra Balancing Workshop

Create a Resumé

Do you need help creating your resume? At the YWCA from 6-9PM on April 17 and 24, help is available! Resumes have changed from years ago and they need to be in several different formats. In this class, you will create your resume and a cover letter and save them in different formats. Upon completion of this class, you will have a resumé that can be emailed, uploaded or copy and pasted on a website, and mailed via USPS. We will provide a form for an outline of your employment history. You will be required to bring that completed form to the first class. Poetry Reading with Jacob Bacharach

Celebrate National Poetry Month at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art from 6-7PM with a reading of Jacob Bacharach’s poem, Ohr Ein Sof–Light Without End. Flat Tire Co. Spring Jam

Following our successful first jam in the fall, we are excited to get back out there this spring! Starting at Flat Tire Co. Bike Shop at 9AM, join us for free demo bikes for free all day and a full day of riding events, including:

GROUP ROAD RIDE: 9am, casual pace, no drop. We will do the Mt. Pleasant loop, not a lot of climbing, fairly rural route, 30 mile ride. Relaxed pace, just to encourage getting together. Will try to dig up an old ride rip off of strava to share the route.

KIDS RIDE/FAMILY RIDE: 2pm, all ages welcome. We will ride from the shop at 2pm up to the Five Star Trail. We will go as far as the group deems appropriate.

PARKING LOT RACES: 6pm, be there, be square, check in starting at 530pm. Registration is $1, winner takes all. Skills and speed are the bottom line. There will be a short track obstacle course.

Easter Egg Hunt

Join us at Keystone State Park for a friendly, fun Easter Egg Hunt! Registration begins at 10AM and the Hunt begins at 11AM.  Children ages 1-10 welcome; cost is $5 per child or $10 per family.
