The Art, all of the art!

It wouldn’t be an ArtsWalk without wonderful displays of art all through downtown. Greensburg’s art scene is growing and it’s the perfect opportunity to explore! From current exhibitions at The Westmoreland Museum of American Art, to the lively Art in the Alley, to a photography exhibition at DV8 Espresso Bar & Gallery, to student exhibitions at the Seton Hill Arts Center there are plenty of opportunities and places to check out local, regional and national artist’s work.

What we can’t wait to see:
Senior Student Gallery Shows at the Seton Hill Art Center – 12-4pm
Inside the Artist’s Studios at the WTC Incubator for the Arts – 3-5pm
Adam Mitchell and other artist gallery on The Rialto building on PA Ave. – All Day
Art in the Alley Guided Tour – 5pm

Live Art + Demonstrations

Watching a piece of art come together from the very beginning is exciting and interesting to watch. There are plenty of opportunities to experience local artists using their creativity to create a new piece. Not only that, but watching artists demonstrate how they use different mediums in their art.

What we can’t wait to see:
Live Painting with Rain McCoy in the Art in the Alley – All Day
Foundry Demonstration Pour (metal pouring) in the Seton Hill Art Center, 1st floor mezzanine – 2-3pm
Live art with Pam Dickun and Justin Luther at The Rialto Patio – 2-5pm

Creating our own art!

There are plenty opportunities throughout the day that will allow you or your child to create something! The Art in the Alley will be filled with a variety of activities and spots to create your own art! From face painting to print making to kid’s crafts, don’t miss out on them! Not only that but Pottery Playhouse , N Main St. is waiving their studio fee for the day, so you’ll be able to paint some pottery throughout the day.

Family Tree Project with the Baltzer Meyer Historical Society at The Westmoreland
Upcycled Monster Faces at The Westmoreland
Art ROCKS & Scrap Painting with the Greensburg Salem HS Art Honor Society in Art in the Alley

We’ll be there and we can’t wait to meet you!

We were unable to attend last year’s event since we were out of town and we cannot wait to be there this Saturday! We will be in the Helman Ghrist Lot (connected to Art in the Alley) with other local organizations! We will also be running around town taking in all of the art and activity but we’ll be at our tent waiting to meet you! We have a fun community activity planned so make sure to come say hi, grab our 2019 event list and participate!
