Westmoreland Performing Art’s Professional Theatre Company will present the new Christmas classic “A Christmas Story – the Musical” at the Palace Theatre in Greensburg December 22nd & 23rd.
The show features a duo of young actors sharing the lead role of Ralphie; Sam Goodman of Greensburg and Nikolai Zevchak of Hempfield. Ralphie is the central figure in the story, whose quest for a Red Ryder BB gun® for Christmas leads to a hilarious and heat-warming travelogue through Christmas traditions and memories. The show also features Kevin O’Leary (Greensburg) as the ‘Old Man’ (Ralphie’s Dad) and Nicole Paluzzi (Latrobe) as the Mom with a penchant for washing out mouths with soap! Also featured are long-time local favorite Renata Marino as the irrepressible teacher Miss Shields, and Tony Marino as the author/narrator Jean Shepherd. Also featured in the cast are a number of WPA Students filling out the roles of Ralphie’s friends and classmates.
