Taps and Apps

Conducting Symposium

Seton Hill University is proud to host its inaugural Summer Wind Band Conducting Symposium with special guest Dr. Patricia Cornett, Director of Bands at Temple University. Join music educators from around the Western PA area and beyond for our three-day event filled with professional development and music-making. The workshop is designed for band directors at all stages of their careers to develop their conducting and teaching skills. There are two fee options: Full Participant ($450) or Auditor ($150). Yoga at St. Clair Park

Elementary Youth Yoga

Join The Space from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. for playful, mindful movement plus an introduction to beginner yoga poses & practice. This class is for ages six to 10 and registration is encouraged. Learn more.

Teens & Tweens Youth Yoga

Join The Space from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. for an  introduction to yoga poses and breathing. A mindful practice is offered via journaling before starting (journals are provided). This class is for ages 11 to 15 and registration is encouraged. Learn more.

Wine Down Wednesday

Sip n’ Stitch @ Green Beacon Gallery

This monthly evening of sippin’ and stitchin’ is a perfect way for knitters and crocheters of any skill level to come together, learn from each other and enjoy some B-Y-O libations (for those 21+). Drum circles are a flowing expression of freedom and creativity. Everyone in a drum circle is equal and there are no specific parts that each person must play. TGIS – Alec Henderson

Instrumental Music Workshop

This two-day event at Seton Hill is focused on essential musicianship and technical skills for instrumental band settings. Day one is  focused on instrument specific support and features Seton Hill’s adjunct faculty members. Day 2 is catered to the instrumental band large ensemble to support individual and group musicianship skill development. Cost is $250 and includes lunch. Learn more.

Mom & Me Anti-Anxiety 

Have a high-anxiety child between six and 11 years old? Meet Kathryn at The Space starting at 9 a.m.  As a vision therapist, she works with kids to help them learn to think by calming their bodies, and as an Eden Energy Practitioner, she can help teach them activities to do even during tests to calm their central nervous system. Mom & Me Energy Work 

Learn how to calm your body’s energies after giving birth at The Space. Our bodies undergo tremendous changes over pregnancy, birth and the first 6 months.
