Stone Bridge Brewing to open in downtown Greensburg

Stone Bridge Brewing Co. is set to open Thursday, June 1 in downtown Greensburg after a few months of renovation.

Originally from Johnston, Stone Bridge Brewing started in 2018 as a hobby that then grew to their original location and brewing facility. The Greensburg taproom is Stone Bridge’s first expansion out of Johnstown and will have 16 taps filled with a variety of beers from pilsners and IPAs to light lagers and seltzers.

“We recognized that we had many customers from the Greensburg area coming over to Johnstown to visit us,” said Jeremy Shearer, owner of Stone Bridge Brewing. “We decided to bring our brand a little closer to home for everybody on this side of the mountain.”

The location they chose at 239 East Pittsburgh Street, was previously Ace Hardware, but built in 1920 to house a car dealership. The open space with tall ceilings and unique architectural features from the time it was built gives a new and old feel to the taproom.

The new Stone Bridge Taproom will feature their own beers and seltzers on draft as well as 4-packs to take home. With plenty of parking and an outdoor space it will be another great spot in Greensburg for craft beer. They plan to have food trucks, live music and events in the future.

Avid supporters of the trails and waterways in the Laurel Highlands, you’ll often find the Stone Bridge Family exploring the outdoors, which they love to promote that mentality through their brand.

Stone Bridge Brewing is also a part of Greensburg Craft Beer Week and will take part in a few events including the Greensburg Craft Beer Festival, a Meet the Brewer event at their taproom, a Yappy Hour event with Petagogy and the Greensburg Brews Cruise with fellow breweries, All Saints, Invisible Man and Yellow Bridge.
