Prantl’s to hold Grand Opening Celebration at new Greensburg bakery

You are cordially invited to attend Prantl’s Bakery Grand Opening Celebration at its new bakery, located at 612 Grove Street, Greensburg, PA on Thursday, May 3, 2018. A formal ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at noon.

Various government officials and dignitaries, including Prantl’s founder Henry Prantl, who created the famous Burnt Almond Torte, and current owner John Felice, will be on hand for the celebration.

Prantl’s Bakery has been a Pittsburgh icon for over 50 years with stores located in Shadyside and Market Square. The Bakery makes over 100 sweets, with an old-world flair, including its nationally recognized Burnt Almond Torte.

Prantl’s Torte was voted “The Best Cake America Has Ever Made” by the Huffington Post and “Best of Wedding Cakes” 3 years in a row by the Knot. The torte was also named “Best Cake in Pennsylvania” by the Food Network in 2018. The Bakery received the Gold “Quest for the Best” Award from Trib Total Media in 2018.

Following the Grand Opening Celebration, Prantl’s bakery will be open to customers from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
