Greensburg Craft Beer Week kicks off this Friday, June 14 and runs through June 22 with over 30 events celebrating craft beer and the greater Greensburg area.
In its 8th year, Greensburg Craft Beer Week (GBGCBW) is excited to bring back some popular events as well as adding in some new ones, all hosted by local breweries, bars, restaurants and businesses.
Kicking off the week a day early on June 13, The Westmoreland Museum of American Art will be hosting Art on Tap: Draughts and Disco. From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., sample brews from many local breweries including: El Diablo Brewing Co., Stone Bridge Brewing, WYE Brewing, Yough River Brewing and more. You can also dance the night away as live DJs battle for your favorite silent disco. This is a ticketed event and it is recommended to get them in advance.
“It’s been a lot of fun producing Greensburg Craft Beer Week over the last 8 years,” said director Jessica Hickey. “Local breweries, businesses and organizations always come up with some creative events as well as producing beers specifically to be released during GBGCBW.”
There will be plenty of beers being released during GBGCBW including Something T’Art, a peaches and cream sour from Yellow Bridge Brewing, Blue Raspberry Slushie Sour from Invisible Man Brewing, Smackdown #3 New England IPA, a collaboration between Four Seasons Brewing and Marino’s American Eatery as well as a couple more releases.
From beer releases, to beer collaborations, pairing events and everything in between, there’s over 30 events to attend during the 9 days. (A full list of events can be seen found here.)
Back for the third year is the Greensburg Craft Beer Festival, presented by Live Casino, being held at St. Clair Park on June 15. This 21+ ticketed event will showcase 20 breweries, live music, yard games and more. A limited number of tickets are available.
The festival, which helps kick off the week, highlights breweries from the greater Greensburg area as well as a few other breweries further outside of Greensburg. Josh Jams with Friends and The String Theory are set to bring live music with Valley Rose Craft BBQ, Yappy Dawgs and Circle Pit Pizza parked behind the amphitheater for attendees to purchase food from.
The Greensburg Brews Crews will also be running on Saturday, June 22 from 2-8pm. A free bus will rotate between All Saints Brewing, Invisible Man Brewing, Stone Bridge Brewing and Yellow Bridge Brewing all day! Attendees can hop on the bus starting at 2pm at All Saints.
Lastly, Father’s Day falls during Greensburg Craft Beer Week and the perfect way to celebrate is with a BBQ, Beer and Bloody Mary Brunch at 3 Stone Merchant and Invisible Man Brewing. A variety of bbq favorites will be served and seating is available at both 3 Stone Merchant and Invisible Man Brewing.
