Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend with an evening inspired by the Emerald Isle. The concert begins with Dublin-born composer Charles Stanford’s charming Irish Rhapsody listen for the melody of “Danny Boy” throughout the music. Known for her “exceptionally rich and vibrant tone” (Washington Post) Lorna McGhee, principal flute for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra plays CPE Bach’s Flute Concerto. The concert also includes Schumann’s Symphony No. 1 “Spring.” Wearing green is highly encouraged!
