The Greensburg Community Development Corporation (GCDC), Shop Greensburg, the City of Greensburg, and the Downtown Greensburg Project have teamed together to host Downtown Greensburg’s Home for the Holidays! The event kicks off on Saturday, November 20 with the much anticipated return of the City of Greensburg Annual Holiday Parade, followed by a month filled with holiday events throughout downtown Greensburg.

City of Greensburg Holiday Parade │ Saturday, November 20th │ 12:00 pm
The City of Greensburg’s Holiday Parade returns for the 2021 holiday season! The parade begins at noon at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art and ends at City Hall. This year’s Grand Marshals are our Westmoreland County Healthcare Workers.
Greensburg Holiday Market │ Sunday, November 21st │ 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Hosted by the Downtown Greensburg Project, the Greensburg Holiday Market will take place on Sunday, November 21. Similar to the summer’s Night Markets, the Holiday Market will feature vendors ranging from local artisans, farmers, and makers but shift its focus to include gift items and food suitable for gift-giving or serving at holiday parties.
Holiday Window Unveiling │ Monday, November 22nd │ 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
On Monday, November 22, Shop Greensburg will host a Holiday Window Unveiling, where participating retailers will decorate their storefronts for the holiday season as a nostalgic nod to years past. Hoping to make this a yearly tradition, Shop Greensburg has dubbed this year’s theme “Making Merry Memories”. The event will also include carolers, a hot chocolate station, and much more!
Greensburg Turkey Trot │ Thursday, November 25th │ 9:00 am
Start Thanksgiving Day with a workout at the 30th Annual Greensburg Turkey Trot on November 25! The Turkey Trot is a 5K run/walk held every year in Greensburg on Thanksgiving Day. Everyone is encouraged to participate, including serious and casual runners, competitive and casual walkers, and family and friends of all ages. Event proceeds will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Laurel Region, Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department, Greensburg YMCA and YWCA Westmoreland County. Friday After Thanksgiving Sales │ Friday, November 26th │ 10:00 am
The fun continues on Friday, November 26 with plenty of after Thanksgiving sales at many of our local retailers. If you can’t make it on Friday, join us Saturday, November 27 for Small Business Saturday.

Hosted by Shop Greensburg, GCDC, and Downtown Greensburg Project, this annual nationwide event was created by American Express as a way to celebrate and support small businesses and all they do for their communities, while encouraging consumers to shop local. This year’s Small Business Saturday will include a Small Business Saturday BINGO game as a fun way to encourage shoppers to visit our local retailers and enter them for a chance to win prizes!
52nd Annual Luminary Night │ Thursday, December 2nd │ 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Luminaries will line the streets of downtown Greensburg during the 51st annual Luminary Night on Thursday December 2nd from 5-9pm! Hosted by the Downtown Greensburg Project.
Holiday Open House & Customer Appreciation Day │ Sunday, December 19th │ 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Downtown Greensburg Businesses appreciate the support of their community. Local merchants are hosting a community “Open House” to offer patrons a special day to shop and experience the personalized service that only “small business” can deliver. Various businesses are extending special offers, gift wrapping and holiday treats.
